With as CRAZY a week as we've had, it was a blessing to steal a bit of time in a local Japanese Garden where trees and the koi fish gave us the rest we need to prepare for our week.

Loving Our Neighbor...
Thank you for your thoughts and prayers this week as we attempt to love our landlord and his family through the loss of their oldest son who was murdered last Saturday morning a few blocks from our home. Our landlord and his family live on the same property as us in a duplex behind our house. Their oldest son assisted us with several of the details of moving in since the family, including our landlord, mostly speak spanish.

Thanks as well to our Mexican/American friends who gave us helpful hints on how we can show our landlord and his family the kind of love and support that is culturally sensistive to them in their time of need.

Please pray for us as we continue to care for them as best we can. The funeral is this Monday at a local Catholic church.
