Hotel Fraser open for business again! This week we've got Deb's cousin Ann Marie here from New York! THERE'S a good reason for two people to live in a four bedroom house!

Celebrating Easter this year without the kids was SO strange as we remembered celebrating with them up at Sean's parent's home in mountains last year!

This past Saturday was Debbie's 41st BIRTHDAY! We went to see Wicked - The Musical in Hollywood with our dear friend Daleen from South Africa! AND...there was a HUGE Anti-War Protest RIGHT outside the theater! THAT made for an interesting day!

Sunday we had the privilege of attending our dear friend Dayna's wedding! Dayna, our friend from South Africa, met Tony on an excursion back to South Africa last year and came back to tie the knot before heading BACK to South Africa this summer long term with NieuCommunities!

Here's a few pics from Deb's trip back to North Carolina to visit her family...so far! And...as you can see...it's kind of a birthday celebration, as well! HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEBBIE!

Beautiful house...wonderful neighbors... TOO many memories to let go of... but just too big a house and too expensive rent for just the two of us! If you know of someone looking to move to Huntington Beach...let us know!

It's been YEARS, but Debbie and I FINALLY got a chance to getaway for a ski day! Beautiful...relaxing...and energizing ALL at the same time!

On Martin Luther King Day we visited the Museum of Tolerance. An amazing interactive display of the injustice in our world worth seeing.

Celebrating New Years with close friends was an ABSOLUTE blessing!

This was our last chance to celebrate life with the kids... SO glad it was over the Christmas holiday!

This past weekend Sean and Debbie took some time to celebrate Christmas with old friends and a bit of holiday "Forget-It-All" at Disneyland! Much needed and appreciated! Amen!

This week we continued to enjoy the Christmas season given to us with the kids...AND, a bit of holiday cheer with friends and work associates, too!

This week we KICKED-OFF the Christmas season with a visit from our dear friends the Wards from South Africa and a Christmas party at our dear friends the Michels! WHATTA great way to welcome in the season!

This Thanksgiving was an AWESOME opportunity for us to feel like a family. Debbie had the kids working on turkey crafts in the morning to decorate the table. We snacked in the afternoon to prepare our stomachs for a HUGE Thanksgiving Feast in the evening. Kept everything low-key and fun..didn't get out of our pajamas (okay...I didn't get outta my pajamas!) Regardless...it was a WONDERFUL day!

With Rob Yackley, Director of NieuCommunities, leading the way, we explored San Diego's Golden Hill district for a potential domestic site for the future.

FINALLY Halloween is back without the scare of hurtful or deadly pranks on candy! We had a WONDERFUL time taking the kids out trick-or-treating JUST like when we were kids! LOVED it...and so did they!

Fifteen YEARS! Can you BELIEVE it!?!? To Celebrate, we got away to Las Vegas to take in the sites and see the Cirque Du Soleil show "Mystere." INCREDIBLE!

This weekend Sean facilitated a Mission @ The Mission weekend for over eighty Campus Crusade leaders and students. It was a WONDERFUL chance to do what he's wired to do again!

Kicked off the Halloween Season with the kids at the Pumpkin Patch! SO dang cute to see these three playing together amongst the pumpkins!

This weekend was the leadership training at the Long Beach Rescue Mission for Vanguard University and Campus Crusade LA Metro.

Sean had the wonderful privilege of officiating the wedding for one of the social workers from Haven Hospice he works with, Erin and her now husband, Daniel.

On Thursday evening we went to the Long Beach Rescue Mission's fund raising dinner and silent auction and were invited to sit at our dear friend's table, Noel and Carol Leverenz.

This weekend we had a chance to finally visit our friends the Chapmans in Oxnard to celebrate their daughter's sixth birthday!

MUCH needed, MUCH appreciated respite care for the kids allowed us to get away for some rejuvenation on a Harley in Yosemite!

What a WONDERFULLY relaxing escape from the tainted foster/adoption system we're in! Thank GOD for Debbie's parents and their AWESOME hospitality and care!

This weekend Sean had the privilege of officiating the wedding of Brandon & Melissa Wilcox. Melissa is the daughter of our dear friend and NieuCommunities' director, Rob Yackley and his wife Laurie, and Brandon Sean got to know on a Beyond Borders Road Trip in South Africa. BEAUTIFUL setting and ceremony!

This past Saturday we had the chance to enjoy our first REAL beach day as a family! Just ONE more opportunity for us to realize we CAN take three kids with us ONE more place we had NO idea what it would be like!

Outside of all the foster/adoption activity, we've had the GREAT pleasure of hanging out with friends and family this summer. Here's just a few shots...sorry again to have to blur the kids! But, that's what we have to do!

A MUCH needed, MUCH appreciated MELLOW July 4th! Just hanging with the neighbors for a barbecue and fireworks...ahhhh!

Debbie's work had their annual picnic at a HUGE park with carnival rides, boating, a petting zoo, and a TON of food! GREAT to play for the day with the kids and the OCTFCU gang!

We FINALLY got the chance to get together with our long time friends, Curt and Dawn Chapman and their 5 year old daughter, up at the Santa Monica Bubba Gump! They are part of a church plant team up in Oxnard, California. What a blessing and a BLAST!

This was Sean's FIRST Fathers Day Celebration! And WHAT a way to enjoy it! On a boat, on a lake, with his WHOLE family!

Caleb, Rock Harbor's Summer Intern for these Mission @ The Mission Weekends at the Long Beach Rescue Mission, allowed me to observe rather than facilitate. What a blessing of lessons I learned!

This weekend Sean facilitated the FIRST of the "Urban Plunge" weekends at the Long Beach Rescue Mission to KICK-OFF the summer and prepare the summer intern to lead these weekends EVERY week until the end of August!

This weekend we took the kids out to Anaheim Stadium to participate in the Orange County Aids Walk. What an EXCELLENT opportunity to begin acculturating these kids into the missional life!

Wednesday Sean celebrated his 41st Birthday! (Ouch!) Amazing to celebrate with kids!

During the Mission @ The Mission Training Weekend for Rock Harbor Church the men spent the day wandering around the city trying find lunch while the ladies served Debbie's ministry to the working poor at Drake's Park. Here's some pics from the lady's service!

Debbie dressed up as a pirate on Friday to celebrate the teachers credit union Pirate Days promotion...just thought I'd share a few of these pics because they looked so COOL!

Friday night we had the chance to bring the kids to a fundraiser at Canyon Hills Church to support our favorite baby-sitter's pursuit of summercamp. It was an EXCELLENT time to get caught up a bit with old friends for a good cause!

This past Friday Sean and the kids took a walk down to the Long Beach Grand Prix. Not the greatest pics...but still a GREAT time for kids! (Alright, so Sean found out the hard way that race car noises are NOT a joy to an infant's ears!)

This weekend we went up to North Fork to celebrate Easter with Sean's parents. The kids got DOUBLE the amount of Easter Bunny Booty any kid would expect! WOW! Did WE pay for it come bedtime!!! Regardless...they had a WONDERFUL time hanging out with their "cousins" coloring Easter eggs, hunting for Easter eggs, blowing bubbles, and just plain having young fun!

This week Sean assisted our CRM/NieuCommunities' Recruiting Team with hosting a booth at the Fuller Seminary Mission Fair where International Justice Mission CEO and President Gary Haugen

This weekend we had a wonderful chance to get away to our friend's home in Westlake to relax and enjoy their hospitality! Not to mention the fact that their two children are the same age as our girls!

Our eldest foster-daughter was invited to celebrate our friends, Mike & Diane's, eldest son's 4th birthday.WHAT a blessing!

Cake, Knotts Berry Farm, and TGIFridays! Now THAT'S a worthy celebration for a WONDERFUL woman! Thanks SO much to all of you who joined in the festivities!

Last week Sean shared with a weekly group of women who meet to encourage each other as women and mothers of faith.

This past weekend we had the WONDERFUL opportunity to build snowmen, snowwomen, and snowchildren with our foster kids! They'd never seen snow before and had a BLAST! And Sean learned how to build a snowman for the FIRST time, too!

This past Saturday we had a reunion for the participants of our Canyon Hills Church "Beyond Borders Road Trip" to South Africa from last May. We had a chance to re-envision together what God stirred in our hearts in South Africa with the help of our own Rob Yackley.

This weekend we had the blessing of Debbie's mom visiting from North Carolina to see the "grandkids" - and, of course, her only daughter being a mother herself!

Saturday we brought our foster-children to the Long Beach Aquarium where we NOT only saw some AWESOME ocean life, but some African-American dancers celebrating Black History Month! What an AWESOME reminder of South Africa!

Sunday we had a chance to head down south to Orange County to enjoy the Superbowl at Pastor John's pad from Canyon Hills Church. Here's a few pics, unfortunately censored to protect our kids identities.

This weekend our friend, Larry Walkemeyer, pastor of Light & Life Christian Fellowship, had us join them Sunday morning so they could pray for us for our foster/adoption and our work amongst the poor of Long Beach.

This weekend we hosted another group at the Long Beach Rescue Mission. Eleven young emerging leaders from Baseline Community Church in Claremont learning about local and global mission.

For our first visit with the kids we put together a picture book of us at our home for the kids.

One full week with 22,000 college students!?!? WOW! Don't really have much more to say about it...so look at the pictures instead!

Each Monday evening Deb serves the working poor of Long Beach by offering free childcare so parents can attend free English as a second language classes downtown. This past Monday, Deb made it extra special for the children and had them create homemade Christmas ginger bread houses! Yum!

Parties, dinner engagements, and - oh yeah, Tiger Woods Tournament! I can't make ANY sense of how we did all we did...but so far, we're alive and well and have stories to tell!

This weekend we finished our OliveCrest Foster/Adoption Certification and than enjoyed hanging with new and old friends to celebrate! Even had a chance to enjoy the Long Beach Naples Island Boat Parade!

This weekend we hosted the Canyon Hills Church High School group from Orange County at the Long Beach Rescue Mission to give them a taste of poverty and diversity they needed to develop a personal mission model to direct them towards their calling and purpose in life. AWESOME time...AWESOME young people!

This Fraser Thanksgiving was PACKED with family, food, and fun!

This year the rescue mission decided to host a Thanksgiving Eve Dinner and a Thanksgiving Day Breakfast instead of offering a Thanksgiving Day Dinner since so many other Long Beach ministries were offering the Turkey Day Dinner. These are a bunch of shots of the volunteers, staff and New Life Program members who live at the mission.

This weekend we hosted our second Local/Global Mission Taste-n-See at the Long Beach Rescue Mission, giving these seven participants an AWESOME chance to consider their calling.

At Haven Hospice we have a number of volunteers who care for our patients. Each month we host a luncheon to celebrate their service.

The challenge? Coach your partner to make the same paper airplane that you make with only verbal clues to guide the construction...no peeking! The lesson? We only know how to envision and teach what we were taught and know.

We had the BLESSED opportunity to kid-sit for our dear friends the Haslingers so they could enjoy a holiday weekend away, and WE could enjoy a test-run parenting weekend!

We hadn't seen Jason and Juli for YEARS! GREAT to see these long lost friends!

Sean's friend Billy played "Johnny" in The Karate Kid. The new band "No More Kings" did a spoof music video for a song called "Sweep The Leg" with a premiere of it on Wednesday night at the Avalon Club in Hollywood.

Being a chaplain in hospice care doesn't mean you can't have fun with the patients!

It's been almost SIX MONTHS since us and the CHC gang enjoyed our South African Road Trip! 'Bout time we got together for a meal, huh!?!?

We had a WONDERFUL time hanging with Kirk, Vicki, and their BEAUTIFUL children!

Debbie's work at Orange County Teachers Federal Credit Union is fun...especially when we get to enjoy Disneyland for a day!

Sean participated in his first university missions promotional event at Vanguard University representing NieuCommunities to young emerging missional leaders.

Saturday Sean joined a group from Canyon Hills Church and served a ministry called Second Harvest that plants vegetables and fruit to help feed underprivileged people throughout Southern California. Last year Second Harvest fed over 2 million people.

Thursday night we had the AWESOME chance to pick up our friends John and Debbie Reed at the airport with their new adopted daughter from China!

This weekend we had a BLESSING and a BLAST with three friends who were with us our first year in South Africa - Chris and Trish Webb and Marion Buttari. Checkout The Webb's website on our Props page!

We visited our friend Mark again doing his stand-up at The HaHa Cafe in North Hollywood. In addition to the BLAST it is to see Mark's routine - it's ALWAYS a reunion of friends, too!

Sean was invited by a local missions pastor in Long Beach to attend the core concept day of the Externally Focused Church Conference hosted by Leadership Network.

Sean had an excellent opportunity to help a bunch of university students process their summer missions experiences

With the end of summer FAST approaching, it was an AWESOME opportunity to hang with our friends, the Leverenz family, on their boat with another dear friend from Tennessee, Greg

Sunday Sean got up on stage again at Canyon Hills Church AND we went to the Reed's new daughter Samantha's Baby Shower

We were able to come along side our neighbors at the final night of their son's 9-evening vigil by offering child care as the adults gathered in prayer and song.

A Homewarming party for our Los Angeles friends turned into a HUGE re-union with old friends,as well!
